Upcoming Events

We will be reopening our church for in-person worship in the sanctuary on Sunday, July 12th. In preparation for this, our Church Council has approved the following set of guidelines to help us worship together as safely as possible:

  1. Our virtual worship on YouTube will continue.  Those who are unable to attend, or who are uncomfortable with attending in person, may still worship with us online each week.  If you have concerns about attending in person, please do not feel any pressure to do so.  In addition to our online worship, we are exploring other ways to help our congregation stay connected (such as a weekly Zoom fellowship gathering and renewing our Dial-a-Devotion program).

  2. We are asking those who feel ill to postpone attending worship until they are well.

  3. We are asking everyone to please check your temperature at home before attending worship.

  4. Voluntary temperature checks will be available in the church library.

  5. Face coverings are required while worshiping in the sanctuary and walking through the building.  We invite you to bring your own mask.  We will also have masks available if you do not have one or if you forget to bring one.  If you are unable to wear a mask or choose to not wear a mask, we ask that you worship in the Fellowship Hall where you will be able to hear the service over the speaker, and where you will be provided with a bulletin while maintaining social distancing.

  6. The worship service will be abbreviated and will be about 30 minutes in length.

  7. Pews will be marked to maintain physical distancing. Only every other pew will be used.  Those living in the same household can sit together but we ask that they leave six feet of distance between their group and other worshippers.

  8. Regular pew cushions have been removed; however, a personal cushion may be brought and taken home each week.

  9. Hymnals, Bibles, Fellowship of Kindred Hearts pads, prayer cards, offering envelopes, and pencils have been removed from the pews.

  10. A single sheet bulletin with the order of service will be placed in the pews so that worshipers will not need to receive bulletins from ushers before the service.

  11. There will be no congregational singing during the service for the time being.

  12. No sacraments will be offered for the time being during in-person worship.  However, you may still receive Communion by watching our virtual worship when Communion is included in the service.

  13. Offering plates will not be passed.  Offering plates will be placed in the Narthex.

  14. Hand sanitizer will be readily available.

  15. Everything will be cleaned/sanitized after each weekly use.

  16. Please maintain social distancing at all times while you are in the building and on church grounds.

  17. Worshippers will be asked to leave the building immediately following the service.  If you would like to visit with others after the service you may do so outside, and we ask that you continue to maintain appropriate social distancing of six feet apart.  We will not be providing refreshments before or after the service.  However, if you would like to bring your own coffee, tea, water, etc. and enjoy fellowship in the portico (the front of the church) from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm you may do so.  Again, we ask that you maintain social distancing.
