Parish Health Ministry
St. Peter and St. Paul has considered the call to a new ministry.
What is a Health Ministry?
The purpose of a Parish health Ministry is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the parishioners. This is a prevention- related outreach program. It follows the example of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting wholeness of body, mind and spirit.
What is the role of the faith community nurse s and health ministers?
To promote physical, emotional and spiritual health.
To provide health and wellness information.
To provide health education by leading and arranging health- related programs.
To refer people to appropriate community agencies and health related services.
To train volunteers within the congregation to assist others in need, such as organizing support groups.
To encourage the health in ministry of the church.
The Chancel Choir is an all volunteer choir that seeks to add beauty and effectiveness to the worship service each Sunday morning. In addition, they prepare a musical service at Christmas and Easter, and they participate in community services at Thanksgiving and on Good Friday. New members are always welcome.
Now we serve a community meal at the Church on the third Saturday from 10:30-12 noon.
