Who We Are
Pastor Jade E. Kendall
Lead Pastor
Pastor Jade is the middle child of an ironworker and a rocker, spending his childhood in the frigid state of North Dakota and his teenage years in the spirited state of New Jersey.
After a year of college and a year’s stint in NYC to pursue a dream to be a screenwriter, Pastor Jade discovered Jesus Christ, and since then has developed a passion for ministry and missions.
After graduating from Minnesota State University with a B.A. in English Literature & Creative Writing, he went on to finish a Master’s of Divinity in Biblical Studies at Cincinnati Christian University.
While pursuing the Master of Divinity, Jade served as the youth ministry coordinator at the inner-city church, State Avenue Church of Christ, and co-founded and led the organization Hope Inner City.
In 2015, he took a break from formal ministry, trying his hand in the business world. But after a handful of years in this world, he found himself back in service to others, becoming the front desk coordinator at Mary Magdalen House in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati.
In 2026, St. Peter St. Paul United Church of Christ called him to be our lead pastor, where he applies his education, experience, and passion for people.
Pastor Jade is a collaborative, often transparent, visionary with a deep conviction to bring the Love of Jesus and the Kingdom of God to all he encounters.

Tammi Hart
Sunday School Coordinator
Tammi is married and has three children and one grandchild. She began the position of Sunday School Coordinator on June 21, 2009. She has always been involved with the Sunday School in various jobs since joining the congregation. She enjoys working with children at church, Girl Scouts and through her baby-sitting
Pastor Jim Hill
Minister of Visitation
Pastor James Hill has been a Licensed Minister since 1986 and our Minister of Visitation since 2016. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and the Lay School of the Church of the Southwest Ohio Northern Kentucky Association of the United Church of Christ. In his leisure time, he follows and roots for the Cincinnati Reds and other local sports teams and enjoys traveling, often to Florida and Germany. Jim has served as a pastor in Russellville, Ohio, Dayton, Kentucky, Lebanon, Ohio, and in his hometown of Covington, Kentucky.
Garrett Woods
Music Director
Garrett has always loved music and began taking piano lessons at age 10. He has a wide range of musical interests, both in performing and directing. He obtained his bachelor’s in music performance from the University of Dayton and his master’s from Wright State University. Garrett was also the bass section leader at his church in Dayton, and he sang and directed the contemporary a cappella ensemble Phonic Uproar. Garrett also performed as a keyboardist in an eclectic jazz-and-rock band and in various choirs and jazz ensembles during his college years. After being awarded a scholarship, Garrett began taking organ lessons in 2017, and his piano, organ, and choral skills enhance our worship services. Garrett, his wife Lauren, and their children are often found playing board games, drinking coffee, or baking, and they are excited to be part of the St. Peter and St. Paul community.
